First Light
"I could keep going."
~8 km (5 mi). Most people have done this without trying. Now do it with intent.
May 2, 2026 — First Global Event
Life at walking pace. One day. 100K steps.
One hundred thousand steps.
Sunrise to midnight.
No car, no bike, no shortcuts. Just walk.
Put the phone down.
Walk until you see everything.
Sunrise to midnight.
Think about the most steps you've ever done in a day. 10,000? Maybe 20? Now multiply that by ten. That's 100K. A full day on your feet. Most people hear that number and laugh. A few hear it and start doing the math. This is for the ones doing the math.
The Challenge
Walk 100,000 steps in a single day. That's roughly 80 kilometres (50 miles) before midnight.
A global community doing it together. Monthly events. Verified steps only. No shortcuts, no team splitting, no treadmills.
You pick your distance. You walk it. You prove it.
The Progression
"I could keep going."
~8 km (5 mi). Most people have done this without trying. Now do it with intent.
"My body found a rhythm."
~20 km (12 mi). Half-marathon distance on foot. Your rhythm locks in. Your mind goes quiet.
"This is where most people stop."
~40 km (25 mi). The decision point. Your body wants to stop. This is where you find out who you are.
"Everything hurts. The sun went down. I'm still walking."
~60 km (37 mi). Sun's down. Legs are screaming. Every step is a choice you keep making.
"I finished. I don't have words for it yet."
~80 km (50 mi). The clock is the opponent. 100,000 steps before it runs out. Most won't make it.
The Collective Mission
We're walking to the sun. Together. (wait, what?) 187 billion steps. 150 million kilometres (93 million miles). Every verified step day adds to the counter. A 10K First Light. A full 100K Beat Midnight. All of it counts.
74 milestones along the way
This isn't just your walk. It's something bigger than any one person.
The Founder
Not an ultramarathon runner. Not a fitness influencer. Just a regular guy who dreamed of walking 100K steps in a day, failed, got back up, and did it. Twice.
Now building this so others can try.
